Cummins has launched its latest natural gas generator set across all 50Hz regions. Supplying electrical efficiency of up to 43.8 per cent, the upgraded QSK60 gas engine can reduce total cost of ownership for its customers and deliver world-class power efficiency. This newest member of the QSK60 Series, the C1540 N5CC, offers new customer options designed to make it a perfect fit for both independent power producer (IPP) and combined heat and power (CHP) applications.
Govindaraj Ramasamy, Director of Projects Delivery Organisation for Cummins, said: "Given fuel costs constitute the largest portion of total cost of ownership, any gain in efficiency can translate to significant savings for the users. With Osprey, we are extremely pleased that we can deliver stellar efficiency and savings to our customers."
Cummins is a global provider of power generation systems and, as a full system provider, provides end to end solutions for a number of applications such as base load power and combined heat and power to meet the needs of a diverse customer base. Its bespoke programme, 'The Power of One', sees all major components designed and manufactured in its own factories rather than being sourced from OEMs — they offer a direct factory to market path with solutions tailored to suit specific customer needs.
The upgraded QSK60 series is ideal for integration into new or existing cogeneration and trigeneration plants. For more information visit now.cummins.com/MoreEfficiencyMorePower.
